Depends on whose History books you use for your research...
We (The Brits) were the good guys bringing peace, harmony, democracy and civilisation, and your guys did the dastardly things...with a few small references to the 'minor bad things' OUR guys did.
Funny how YOUR history books say that YOUR guys were the good guys, innit?
You only did 'minor bad things' too.
I think its called perspective.
(Methinks that tainting the War of Independence with tales of brutality by American patriots would not be in the script when the history books got written.-Just guessing of course.
)
Both sides were probably equally brutal.
...just like in Iraq.
I think its called war.
and the first casualty of war, is the truth.
